An invited talk by Pere Puig at the Symposium of Mathematics for Covid 19 organized by the Catalan Society of Mathematics (Jornada SCM Matemàtiques – Covid 19) the 13-14 July. In his talk Pere Puig addresses the following questions: The quarantine of the patients of the Covid-19, must be 14 days? Are there efficient methods of performing PCRs on a large part of the population? Is the SARS-Cov-2 virus similar to a bat coronavirus? Throughout the talk we will see statistical models that allow us to partially answer some of these questions.
